Activity 1:It is widely believed that the first people to arrive in New Zealand came from Polynesia. Most historians believe that they landed in New Zealand over 700 years ago. Although they were originally from many different countries, these settlers learned to live together and, eventually, formed their own distinct culture known as ‘Māori.’ Māori have their own language, traditions, and culture. On your blog, post three facts that you learned about this interesting man. What other stories have you heard about Maui?
 Maui and the Sun:I heard that people back then had shorter days so Maui and his brothers made some weapons to pull down thesun to make it go slower so we can have longer days thats why now we have 24 hours in a day!
How Maui brought fire in the world: One evening after a lovely meal, Maui lay beside his fire staring into the flames. He watched the flames flicker and howl and thought to himself, "I wonder where fire comes from." Maui, being the curious person that he was, decided that he needed to find out.
How Maui found his mother: Maui's mother once cutted pieces of her hair and tied it around Maui. His mother called out to Tangoroa the god of the sea, to take her son, she threw him to the ocean. But he was still alive. The sea gods took care of maui. and then he washed up on shore. he found himself on a island and learned how to walk and talk and how things go. He asked his Papa on the island where is my mother? His papa said far far away to far for my old bones to take you. So he set off to find her. He found the shelter and his brothers asked "who are you?!" he told them "The last born" And he ran to his mother and asked what happended.

Activity: It is very expensive for each of the Paralympic athletes to fly from New Zealand to Rio de Janeiro to compete. Most athletes have to fundraise in order to make the money that they need to go on the big trip. Recently, Harvey Norman announced that they will be helping to raise funds for the New Zealand Paralympic team. What could you do to help raise funds to support our amazing Paralympic athletes? Answer 1:If I was going to fundraise I would do a HUGE Garage Sale and with the money T get I would give it to the people in the olympics for they're huge trip to Rio de Janeiro. Answer 2: If I couldn't do that I would sell some slime's and crafting stuff for example.. Windchimes,Origam e.t.c
